Sports drink designed question.

How does the advert use media language to convey their viewpoints and ideologies to help promote their product

In the sports drink industry, typically they use media language to help convey their ideologies and viewpoints to help promote their product. These could be by product placement, the choice of athlete or celebrity, their position, their shot and so on. Which helps give a strong impression on what the audience is looking for and what they are buying into with their choice of media language.

One way Gatorade uses media language in this advert to convey their viewpoints and ideologies to help promote their product is the choice of celebrity.  The choice of celebrity is Usain Bolt and since Usain Bolt is a runner, this suggests that this will give you energy once you drink this as you will be tired, but the ideology it wants to present is that if you drink this product you'll be like Usain Bolt and "stay ahead of the game" hinting that it enhances your game thus making you want to drink the product. As well as that there is a mid-shot of the athlete doing a pose, this mid shot not only allows us to see his pose, but his face which by the body language tells us that he is focused and ready, which suggests that if you drink Gatorade it will make you more focused and more ready, it is promoting their product by showing us that Gatorade enhances performance.

Another way Gatorade uses media language to promote the ideologies and viewpoints of the product is that the product placement, you typically would look at the top left and then slowly shift to the bottom right. However, with this, if you look up you will see an athlete so the product was designed to be there to show the athlete and him in his position getting ready, this gives us the ideologies of them trying to get ahead and increase in focus. Another media language feature is the feature of Usain Bolts signature, this helps promote their product as they are saying that Usain Bolt has drank their product and you should also drink it

To Conclude, this advert uses media language to help convey their viewpoints and ideologies to help promote their product since it is giving us the ideology and viewpoint of that if you drink Gatorade you will be more focused and stay ahead of the game.
